|
|
So - we are aprroaching that time of year. We get hammered with TV ads about christmas. Hammered with all sorts of travel plans and we are marketed like monkeys for 2 months. However, there is one great thing about this time of year. I am constantly asked, "What do you want for christmas?" I know for certain that all my fly fishing buds are asked the same question. Typically, I spend hours racking my brain for things I would like or things that would be useful - So, I thought it might be helpful to me and everyone else if we all put together a christmas wish list - I am sure everyone will have things that each of us may not have thought of - and maybe this year, I will be able to say to my wife, parents and relatives..."Oh yeah, I do want something - how about xyz." In the past years, when people ask me ,"Hey Jeremy what do you want for Christmas?" -- My typical response is, "Nothing." So - I am sure others could benefit from this Fly Fishermans Christmas List -> So Let's come up with some fly fishing gear/packs/accessories for $100 or less. What would you suggest?

Howdy!
For you jeremy, ask for a rod rack, the ones that go on the ceiling, not on top of the car! Tight lines

Hmmm, so many gift ideas i will try to name a few
Well it's not a fly fishing only gift but nothing is better than a good christmas dinner. So how about some copper river red salmon fillets, widely considered the best tasting salmon in the world.
Some sort of tippet is always good at chrismas, i usually run out around now and need more for next year. Specifically frog hair is my choice. |

I've been spoiled by having Mike Holt and Fly Fishing Only practically in my backyard. My whole family knows how much I love that place. Here's some items I've received over the years, mostly from Mike's place.
One Day Guided Trip on the Kennebec
Wading Staff
Pack Bag
Back Support Belt (most appreciated gift under $20) Really saves the back.
Any Good Book
Fly Fishing related coffee mug
I could go on for pages. Everytime I walk into a fly fishing store it's like Christmas morning all over again. |

I'm asking for a beginner's fly tying kit. A fly tying book would be cool too...
Something to try - I'm pretty pumped about the idea of catching a fish on a fly that I made....
Orvis sells a bunch of starter kits... |

I usualy get a Beans gift certificate or 2 - then the hard decision-making is on me!
If I am so fortunate this year, I intend to get a vise and tying tools. |
