If lucky enough to win, I would want a 5/6 Battenkill weight reel with an Orvis Wonderline. Thanks for sponsoring the contest, that's a steal on those bugs. Flies and Fins is one of my favorite sites.

$.50 per fly is a great deal! I'd be looking for the Mid Arbor III w/Orvis 6Wt Wonderline.

Alway love to see these contests. Keep'em coming!

Flies should arrive in time for my trip to King and Bartlett in 2 weeks.

My flies are ordered. Hope it helps support flies and fins.
A 7/8 weight would be in order for me. As I don't own a 7or8 weight rod Mike Holt could be a winner also.

Order is in. I could really use a 5/6. The line gaurd on my battenkill has a notch warn in it from stripping line. I was told they don't have any line guards left. Sad

Bought the flies and actually it's the third box, I loose a lot but I like the boxes. Make the reel for a 5 wt. With a 5 wt. line, floatinf WF. and appropriate backing. The line of course would be third generation wonder Line. I'm tired of having to actually grease my line.

The Mid Arbor III (5-6 weight) would do the trick for me matched with 6 weight Wonderline Generation 3 trout weight forward line. Good luck to all.

My wife bought me a new rod for my birthday. She is the loving, sacrificial type to be sure. Always sensitive to my needs, after hearing of the writhing and travail, yeah even gnashing of teeth that has been rained upon me through the sufferage of inferior product, she instantly responded with a gift to exceed my grandest expectations. And it only took three years of whining and groveling, acompanied by endless hours of home remodeling and landscape labor to inspire her generosity. A woman to be praised indeed.

In response, I ran down to my local Orvis store (my car had run out of gas) and purchased the aformentioned reel to accompany my new aquisition. Now I can imagine no greater joy than to give my beautiful and adoring wife a gift akin to the one she gave me - a new Battenkill to match mine. A WF5F wonderline would match my new - er, I mean her rod, perfectly. And she deserves it.

I would like to have mid arbor IV with an Orvis five wieght WF Easy Mend Wonderline. The reason for the larger reel and smaller weight line is this: I can fit a bit more backing on it and avoid the memory in the line caused by a smaller diameter reel. It also makes it easier to respool the line without having to get it on there perfectly.

Make mine for a 9wt with wonderline... that'd be great. Of course, if I win I'm going to need to get a 9 weight rod. Flies are on order.

Jeremy, I sent you another PM about the link. Count me in!? But tough choice if I win - if I have to choose now, I'll go with the V spooled with a gen 3 clear intermediate 9 wt. If I win, can I choose when I get back from my 4 day Salmon excursion? Please? (gotta decide what rod to buy, really...) Smile
Thanks for the opportunity!

Mike
