Like most years the beginning of the runs are spotty with a few fish...the fish were literally trying to jump up the dam here in Henderson the other day when I was fishing but today (this morning anyways) there wasn't a chrome in sight but plenty of fisherman. It should pick up here soon (hopefully) and we should be landing them like they are going out of style!! Good job on the salmon river guys.

sounds like maybe the water dropped ... and fish steel went with it??? i have seen that many times ... high water = packed with steel ... then water gets to a good fishing level ... and no steel ... or limited steel ... don't know if that's the case with your situation ... but could be???? good luck .... they had to go somewhere ... go find em'.... or wait for them to return ... that's always the 20,000 dollar question .... should i stay or go?

The water level was actually about the same which is why I was perplexed. I did go out this afternoon and landed one and I submitted a fish tale about my misadventure. I took pics with my camera phone and sent them to you so I hope that they turned out. People were catching them all day long yesterday but I was the only one out this afternoon. Much to my delight!
