Hello Peter,

I guess this message will reach you to late but here it is anyway.

It has been a very long time since I have been there but I actually bought my first real saltwater rod in Fort Lauderdale.
The shop was LMR custom rods and tackle located in the southport shopping center.

1495 SE 17th St # E,
Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA
(954) 525-2592

Another shop was the Flyshop of Fort Lauderdale, also been there.

5130 N Federal Hwy # 2
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308, USA
(954) 772-5822

LMR is closest to the airport.

Best regards,

Marcel

I have got to say that I find it amusing that a Dutchman is giving a Dane advise on flyshops in Fort Lauderdale. (Of course Marcel spends a lot of time in South Florida..) but I would have expected a little more help from the F&F South guys! Then again, if Marcel was right on the money, nothing else needed to be said... I hope you got what you needed, Peter.

The FF south guy was or is fishing in the French West Indies and in my humble opinion that is better way of spending time than replying to fly shops questions on FF Very Happy

On the other hand I am pondering what I am doing wrong since I see that Headrush aka Diamond Dave is on the road fishing somewhere most of the time.
