Well, after trying for a few weeks I have finally managed to catch multiple stripers on a fly rod! Being new to Maine and new to fly fishing, the fact that none of them was more than 20" didn't bother me a bit. I caught my first evah stripah at Scarborogh marsh last week. Today I tried out the rocky outcrops near my house in Cape Elizabeth and the schoolies were there! I had a blast and caught 5 of them in a couple hours. Still looking forward to seeing the backing someday, but for now it is nice to feel something tugging on a salt-water fly for once in my life! WHOOPIE Very Happy Very Happy Hopefully some big ones will follow.

Go get 'em!

Hey,
I go up to Prouts Neck every summer and fish Scarborough marsh and all the ledges around the neck. I catch a lot of schoolies and some big ones ounce in a while with my surf rod. I just purchased a 10wt for some cows and am getting really into it. Maybe I will see you out there sometime. Where do yuo fish?

Pat
