I've been lurking here, watching your videos, listening to your music, and basically, enjoying your site for a while now. You guys make a guy really want to go out and learn to fly fish.
I've built myself a nice 6wt that I'm hoping to christen this Fall on a nice fat Bass or, with any luck, a fat Brown Trout.
Anyone in my area (Capital District, New York) willing to help a guy out?

hey chris --- welcome to fliesandfins.com ... i think you will find that there are all sorts of fly fishing addicts on this site of all different levels of addiction, from all different parts of the world and who enjoy fly fishing for all sorts of species both salt and fresh ... i am from maine, not from ny, so i can't help ya there ... but, i do know there are lots of steelhead/trout guys from your neck of the woods on this site ... anyway, good luck with the fly fishing ... in whatever capacity you choose to pursue it ... it's all good .... cya.
I wish I could meet you somewhere and teach you exactly what to do, but since I live in FL, that won't happen. Instead, let me know what you are interested in learning, and I can help you through this site.
