| Whats up guys? So looking for a new 4wt. I have spent the past 2 months casting just about everything I can get my hands on. Narrowed it down to either the Sage Z-axis or the G.Loomis Streamdance GLX. Anyone have any recommendations? The GLX felt a little better for shorter casts but the Z-axis was on point for those far casts. Anyone with either of these rods that have any likes/dislikes about the it? |

| That's hard, both great rods but since i'm partial to sage and frequently make long casts with my 4 or 5 weight i'd go with the Z-axis. Hard to go wrong either way |

Hi,
Here is a link to an article that may help you with your decision:

If the full link doesn't work, just go to www.yellowstoneangler.com and look in the article section under '5-weight shoot-out'. Two of the rods they compare are the one's you are considering (but in 5 wt, not 4). If you have cast and like both, you may want to consider such things as the warranty. I recently got the loomis 4 wt GLX HLS, but have not yet fished it.
Good luck and enjoy!
