Natural Fly and I hit the weeds friday afternoon on the early high tide. Found a few fish..not as many as we had hoped. Ended up putting me on this nice tailer. Natty pulled an RA special trout set on one pulling the hook out. tt and I gave him shit..o.k. I gave him shit.

The next morning..after much debate we decided to stay inshore. Early morning low we hit Oyster creek with no love. Didn't even bump a fish. Headed out polling along we started seeing fish. After a long pole we found a nice school of laid up fish. Natty pulled a nice one out on a deer hair.

That afternoon Natty poled his ass off looking for some tails...no luck. Our notorious go to spots came up empty. What the hell? Never seen it so dead. Decided to go back and try the spot where we caught the one the afternoon before. Working our way towards the back...all of a sudden two tails pop up. Seeing this guy work the grass line we pulled him out.

It was a nice few days. Always enjoy time spent with a few banditos. Though we were dissapointed in the number of fish we saw...it was still nice to get out.

Z..They eat anything. Crabs, Shrimp, bait fish...In the winter when food becomes scarce they have been known to eat sand dollars. Weird but true.

That's some good work.

Don't get redfish in Australia either, something I'd really like to have a go at one day. What was that last fly pattern in that fish's mouth? Just looked like a pearlescent, flashy, bulky thing with grizzle hackle on it?

I came up with to serve two purposes.
1. To fish in the grass...being completely weedless.
2. And one fly I can use for both the grass and the mud flats.

I tie it as seen and with more of a copper and gold look. It has worked so far.
