hey - i could not help but notice your tag name. where are you from? i fish out of a kayak alot and my friend dave "headrush999" does too. he is down in florida. - hey dave post that photo of that baby tarpon you got out of your kyak. I usually fish for striped bass on the east coast. it is a great tool b/c i can get to sandbars that are not accessible by foot.
PS. Headrush carries a gun with him in his kyak down in florida (gator territory)- at least we don't have to do that on the east coast.

Here are a couple baby tarpon I caught in 6-04 while deep in the everglades. These baby tarpon might be one of the most fun fish there are to catch anywhere. I caught these on plastic jerk baits, but I'm working on a car topable gheenoe setup to get back to some skinny waters and have a stable platform to accurately chuck some flys at these guys.

Love to fish out of my kayak here in South Texas. Mostly freshwater lakes and rivers in the Hill Country for bass and panfish. I'll be moving to Maine in the Spring/Summer of 2005. Looking forward to fishing new waters for new kinds of fish. |
