| Allright I know I'm not he only one with a couple of summer trips planned. Lets hear all the fantastic fly fishing destinations on your itinerary. I only have enough time and money for three this year. So i will live vicariously through all of yours. Mine entail Tarpon, Permit and bones in the Keys. Stripers in the surf of Maine and my annual Brookie and Brown pilgrimage in the Adirondack Mtns. |

| I am going to the nanknek river once again. I have beent there several times before so it's kind of like waterwhippas brookie trip. Seriously i don't want to brag have never had better rainbow trout fishing. Last time the average day was awesome, i keep a detailed log book and here was my best day. On September 7 i caught 53 rainbows, the average fish was about 4 pounds. I caught 20 fish between 5 and 8 pounds, 8 fish between 8 and 10 pounds and 6 fish over 10 pounds including a 36 inch 18 pound rainbow trout. If you love rainbow trout fishing this place is heaven! I can't wait till i am there again! |

great topic!
let's see..here is my list of trips that i can think of - off the top of my head.
1. rhode island - this weekend - stripers are in thick down there
2. green river utah - end of may/june
3. montana - june
4. salmon river - skamania (summer steelhead) - july
5. Marthas Vineyard - Albacore fishing
6. LOT's of trips to Northern Maine
7. Gaspe Quebec - Atlantic Salmon
8. Florida - Tarpon fishing with mark, joe-m and headrush
I know there will be more....there always are...but that's what comes to mind immediately.
Can't wait to hear what others have planned...
PS - I am also looking forward to having people come fly fish with me in Maine - Jason, Headrush, Kranefly, Waterwhippa, PeteD....Sometimes that is more fun than going places....Maine is cool because I have great saltwater action 5 minutes east of my house - good trout fishing 15 minutes west of my house - and phenomenal trout/salmon fishing 1 hour north of my house....maine can be frustrating for out of staters because there is SOOOOOO much water and it can be a little overwhelming if you don't have much time......but when my bud's come up...they can rest assured....I will put them where the fish are - because that's what they do for me when i visit them.. |

Howdy!
Well, I am a lucky kid being able to get the whole summer off to do nothing but fish. Here's what I have planned
1) Kennebec with Jeremy an my friend Al
2) Fall steelheading trip with Jeremy
3) Stripers and blues off my familys boat.
God knows there won't be a time when the fly rod isn't in my hand this year! Tight lines

The first big trip is to the East German Harz mountains to fish
for beautifull brown trout. There will most likely be a couple of
other little trips to Germany (I live more or less in a bordertown).
The icing on the cake would be a trip to Naples Fla. this fall but that is
not for 100 percent certain. At least I have arranged time off in
Fall. |

I'll be guiding starting low water and all summer here on the mighty Kennebec. (www.maineflyfishing.com) I'll take the camper to Solon July 1 and maybe Rangely near Upper Dam in Sept. Diane wants to fish more, Dad wants to troll, daughter Abby and Robbie will drift w/me too. Add in my own fishing here. I'll get trips from my own service www.flyanglersguide.com and from other places. (I'm prioritizing as I write this...)
I'm excited about hosting a trip with Dave the last week in June (remember to give me firm dates asap, hedrush), and of course, I'll hookup with jeremy when the Kennebec's good here and at EO, (want to get jer over a BIG Bingham Rainbow). jeremy will call when he knows when jason, kranefy, watawhipper, peteD and other visitors want to fish trout and salmon on the Kennebec. Lock in those visiting dates asap
Between all that...just 2 dreams
My hope is to fish the So. N.E. salt for Albies
I'd love to Atlantic Salmon fish in Quebec
I hope it all happens! |
