Hey All,
Joey put together this killer trip to Washington's Olympic Peninsula for Native Steelhead. He's been fishing and filming with some great guys and outfitters up there for a few years now - and he put together this sweet package. I know there are a few people that are already going. Here is a little description from Joey. Check out the link to Joey's Lateral Line Media blog too for videos and pics and full trip details.
Great Steelhead Trip Opportunity for those who need to check catching a Native Pacific Steelhead off the list. $2500.00 Is a great price for 5 guided days, lodging, food and commuter flights. There is NO need to be an expert with a Spey rod. In fact you don't even need one! The fishing is done out of drift boats as well as wading. Nymphing on the go is a very effective way to cover a lot of water on these big rivers. If the Spey game is your flavor there is plenty of water and beautiful runs to swing big nasty flies for aggressive Steelhead. We do a bit of both day in and day out. Don't know how to swing a big stick the guides are very seasoned with a two handed rod and will have you casting with ease after a few pointers. This is the best time for a chance at a Big Wild Native Steelhead fresh from the Pacific. There are only a couple spots left so hurry up to reserve yours. We will be documenting the trip with full HD film and share it with the flies and fins community upon our return. See you soon.
Take it from somebody who knows Joey, loves steelhead and travels all the way across the country every spring to fish the Olympic Peninsula, this is a killer trip and a killer deal. If you have wanted to chase winter steelhead in their true native habitat in a spectacular setting with guys who have it dialed in, this is the way to do it, no question about it.
Thanks for the shout out fellas..hope you guys can make it out. Jeremy it is time for you to get your West Coast Steelhead. Since leaving my old stomping grounds on the east coast I found my way to the Pacific Northwest. I have been going up there for the past few years in March and April and have had great success. I like it so much I put this trip together so I could share it with others. The remote location combined with natural beauty is a real treat. Steelhead fishing is fun...
My intentions are not to high jack this thread...Just a question regarding a trip like this.
Would similar trips like this be of interest to others? If someone put together a destination trip with all the 'headaches' taken care of, would people be interested.
Just got an update from my friend Jeff out on the Olympic Peninsula. They are getting into some great fish right now. "April fishing in February" All chrome bright rocket ships, hopefully this is a sign of what is to come. I hope that those of you on the West Coast are taking advantage of the Fly Fishing Opportunities right now. For those of you who want to join me and other fliesandfins.com members for a chance at some Pacific Northwest Steelhead there are still 2 spots available on our trip. PM me if you are interested or visit laterallinemedia.com for up to date photos and reports.
Kory & Dave looking forward to seeing you guys on the OP. Its going to be a fun trip.
What a fine trip you have put together Joey. The best guides on the Olympic Penninsula and a killer abode on the Bogachiel. Really looking forward to slipping back into the rainforest and getting another shot at a bright, native steelhead!
