i fish in salt water, the rod i am using is a redington 8 wight rod number 9.
i want to change mine to have the same size for my fly line.
What rods are good for saltwater between number 9 and 10. I want
them not to be too much expensive but not too cheap because of the
quality.

I have a st. croix imperial (new one) 8wt that I absolutely love. light weight, fast action, beautiful burgundy blanks, and best of all under $200. I have cast the new version of the elite and for under $500 It's hard for so see why people spend $800 on other premium rods. Don't get me wrong, one of my favorite rods is an old sage rplxi 6wt, and i also have an orvis zero gravity #9 that I enjoy, but when the time comes for me to upgrade it's gonna be an easy choice.

Good to hear, always like to support a rod maker still made in the USA. I have a Lamiglass IMG that I won at our local club banquet and it is SWEET! There is nothing wrong with rods made out of USA, but you have to wonder if the passion and care for the finished product is the same. Just the opinion of one man.
