Hey guys, I live Northwest Oklahoma, and am just wondering if it would be worth making a trip to the Texas coast in December or January to target redfish, and what areas would be good to go to? I'm familiar with the Aransas Pass area but that is all, any information would be apreciatted.
thanks |

| From what I remember of the Tx. coast you may have to go South of there in the winter, but dearly would love some of the locals to chime in. |

| First get a kayak and do the lighthouse lakes off 361 going into Aransas Pass. You can also put in and fish Estes Flats near Traylor Island, Big Red Fish now. You can also launch on the other side and fish the flats there. Buy a kayak map for the area, it has the GPS for the lakes and only a kayak can get in there. If you don't catch redfish, there is something wrong. There are excellent fly guides you can use for the first day and then you are set. Good luck |
