I know all you guys have a favorite rod for one reason or another. Lets hear about it and why you love it so much!
Mine is an 8' 4wt winston full flex. It was the first rod I ever had someone wrap for me and it turns over a leader like you would not believe. My buddies call it the Winston light because they question its authenticity. |

| I would have to say my favortite rod is my 9 weight Sage SLT. It make unrolling 80 foot casts a breeze! I also would say my 6 wieght TFO Ticr is up there. |

| Can I chose 2? First would be a Winston LT, 7' 9" 3wt for small streams. For a little fairy wand, it has a surprising amount of backbone. A ten inch brookie is so much fun on it. Second is a Sage SLT 9' 5wt, it is a great all round rod for the rest of the fishing I do, nymphs, dries and the occasional streamer. |

I love my Temple Fork TiCr 8-weight. Just a great, versatile, all-around rod.
I'm also fond of my GLoomis Trilogy 5-weight. I don't think Loomis makes the rod anymore, but it's great for casting small clousers and streamers to smallmouth or to peacock bass down in South Florida. |

| So far it would have to be my Vince Cummings 8 1/2 foot 2/3 wt. It's the rod to have when the presentation has to be delicate to spooky trout. All the other ones I built myself from Diamond Back blanks aren't far behind though. |

My fave would have to be my Pacific Bay 8'6" 4/5, if for no other reason than it is my first rod. It was wrapped for me by the same guy that wrapped whippa's Winston Light...(Winston Colors...$50 blank ). It is not a high profile rod, it was not very expensive, doesn't cast extremely well, and if I were to pick one up today to test, I would not buy it. HOWEVER, over the years that I have had it, it has kinda developed along with me. When I first got it it was a pretty quick rod. Over the years of use the graphite has lost a bit of its tension, and now it casts quite slow. I have to pay a bit more attention to the details of my cast, 'cause the rod is kinda like an old dog now. If I don't watch it, she'll start to wander off .
My favorite rod casting wise is my 9' 9wt Powell AXS. Cannot be beat...Salmon/steelhead, salt water, fatty carp, You name it, it can handle it. It booms out a cast something FIERCE, too. Only problem is, it is a bit worse for wear. It has a cracked ferrule, and I have to send it back. Since they don't make them anymore, it will be replaced with another model . |

I would have to say my fave is the first rod I made using a "Quality" blank.
Built on an 8 1/2' 5 wt Powell Light Touch blank. |
