There are many mixed experiences with Rods and Reels as Carry on. I have gone one way and brought them on, and was denied on the way back. I know this is common, anyone had experience from say DFW on Alaska Air to Anchorage? I know I can bring the rods in my travel tube 4piece on the plane. My concern is more what I hear about that EVIL fly line on the reels. Anyone have any ideas?
I appreciate getting there in 1 piece, just wish we could be consistent.
Thanks and "Tight Lines"

I havent brought rods on a plane just because my suitcase fits 5 rod tubes in the bottom of it but as for reels and line, I've carried 8 reels all with line in a reel case/bag as a carry on and had no problems with it
