| Does anybody know of any flies that could catch most species of panfish (bluegill, crappie, yellow perch) but at the same time catch largemouth and smallmouth bass... and possibly pickeral. |

it will be tough for one fly to catch both bass and panfish becuase the pan fish wont always be able to fit the hook in their mouth but thats not saying its not possible. Sometimes you may get lucky and catch a big panfish on a size 6 hook. I have had bass eat nymphs as small as size 14 at night. I personally like to catch them on topwater flies just because its more fun. but small woolley buggers can catch both as well as leech patterns or nymphs. Tie different sizes flies so you can catch more fish. if you want to fish for bass use something bigger. three things that i try to incorporate in bass flies are flash, materials with a lot of movement, and rubber legs.

that has been my go to bass fly this summer and has even worked on trout.
hope this helps,
Patrick
