| does anybody know of anywhere that sells dry fly hackles for good prices... i don't want to spend more than maybe 25 dollars, after that, i think it just starts to get pricey for a non-profit fly tier. |

I prefer Whiting Hackles and any fly shop will carry them. You can buy a pack from them called the 100 pack for $18 and you should be able to tie 100 flies from it depending on how much hackle you use on each fly. One thing I have learned from tying though is that you don't want to cheap out on materials. High quality materials, although expensive, produce better flies and are much more consistent. Depending on how much tying your doing, you might want to buy a full or half cape of hackle. Thats what I do, but you are tying also just tying for yourself.
