My dad, my brother and i went to the SR twice this month and our latest trip (28th and 29th) was slow for some people, hot for others. the river was around 900 both days and we fished Altmar and the lower fly with hook ups here and there. we landed a few fish but the fishing wasn't consistent, once you think you're on to the color they like they wouldn't touch it. it was frustrating (and cold  ) but we got into some. some guys in a drift boat backtrolling plugs landed 5 fish in about 10 minutes in that channel right along the bank directly downstream the altmar bridge.
