I will be in Bimini for a few days next month. Does anyone have any guide recommendations? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Pete

Hi Pete, Welcome To Flies And Fins! Here is some info from a reliable source.

BIMINI GUIDES

1. BoneFish Ray 242-347-2269 (His wife Shelia co-ordinates his calendar and can also secure other guides.
2. Ansil Saunders - 242-347-3391
3. Bonefish Rudy (experienced fly casters only) 242- 347-2266.

PS - Ansil Saunders - is kinda famous in the Bonefish World and has been featured in many publications for his bonefishing knowledge and skills.

The guides all charge $300 for full and $200 for half days.

I hear the fly fishing is very good in Bimini - Big Bones and lots of them - the Bimini flats don't get as pounded as the flats in the keys.

Also - Snook - under the lights at night
Tarpon - Big Barracudas (bring steel leader)

That should do ya...BRING A CAMERA - an write "Fish Tale" for us when you get back! - Good Luck - when are you going?

Thanks for all the great information. Much more than I hoped for.

I am going January 19th-22nd. Hopefully, I'll get an opportunity for all the species you listed. Thanks!

Thanks. I've never caught a bonefish. Tried in Islamorada and once in the Caymans. Even though it's not the ideal time of year, I plan on bringing my 8w to give it a go over there. Hopefully luck will be on my side.
