Exactly 30 miles from my home in Naples there's a place called Seagrape which is a small community of houses set in a canal-like environment smack dab in the middle of the Everglades. Much of the area and waterway is not developed and Manatees, alligators, gar, snook, Tarpon are often there. One of the best and among the few places you can cast from shore to all the gamefish. It's a mini Everglades fishery alright. Down the road, there's a multitude of other places to fish....especially if you have a canoe or kayak.

I've been smitten by the Tarpon experience. They are worthy of their Silver King reputation and name.
