It's that time of year that can really drive you nuts on the stream. I was out last night and noticed we are currently in a massive overlap of hatches. It was a nice sunny day and clouded up in the evening when I hit the water and we had; BWO's, stragler hendricksons, sulpurs and early drakes all at the same time. There were some fish up and refusals were many. I became real familiar with all the flies in my boxes and it figured I would eventually take a few fish on an Adams. There were just too many bugs...better too many than none at all though. I love this time of year.

| I ran into that problem the other day. I went through my entire fly arsenal just like you. I did manage to trick a few of them though. |

While in Southern Germany I came across this minefield of cased caddis, never seen so many of them in one spot.
Although several species of mayflies where on the water fish hardly rose during my trip, only at certain times after sunset surface activity started.
I fished most time with the streamer which yielded very good results during the day. |
