Last Sunday Ken and I headed for the Moose river and the E.O. . the flow was good at the Moose river but 2750 cfi at E.O. , which is the highest I have ever fished it. The Moose by the Dam had an inviting pool, so I made a few casts into it. Fifth cast I caught a 20″ Salmon, which I think is the largest LL I have caught. Ken went to take a picture and the batteries were dead. I didn’t take pictures much until this website was started and, Ken liked the expression on my face, like a kid that got coal for Christmas. We fished and caught several more Salmon but not of that size, He does exist in my failing memory. In the afternoon we went to the E.O. and this is where our Spay rods really shined. You could only stand ankle to knee deep as the water was fast and high. Using the spey rods you could avoid the flora of the bank and get your line out into the middle of the current. I caught a nice Rainbow, of about 14 inches, but still no picture. Monday I caught an 18″ Brown in a favorite Pool but was charging my batteries and still no picture. Last night I caught a small Brown, pretty fish and that is the picture I will put up here. The Moral of the story? get charged up before fishing as memorie is fleeting.
