We flew to Bozeman Montana, picked up our rental car and headed for the first fly shop, of substance, we could find. This shop was called fins and feathers and an Orvis dealer. I bought every suggestion they made and I caught fish on all but the yellow Hoppers. The ride to Cameron where the Slide Inn is was a tribute to nature. The flat land runing up to some of the most beautiful real estate I have ever seen. Some mountains were snow caped and amazing rivers and streams ran down from them. The water was gin clear every place we stopped to look, you could watch the acrobatics of fish in the lakes, big trout. We weren’t at the Slide Inn long before we had our waders on and caught fish that afternoon, 50 feet from our cabin in the Madison river. One hell of a start for a fishing trip.
