As the title infers Jeremy and I both caught fish today. I had hopes of a Brookie or two but did not exspect the Salmon. We started at a small stream where we caught Brookies earlier in the month and thought that would be fun, and it was. We both caught Brookies and retired to the Mobil station for red hot dogs, soda and a candy bar. The next place we went we thought about and almost didn’t go, fortunately neither of us can pass water without a look see. I gazed down into clear emerald colored water, trying not to cast a shadow and saw some perch and then saw 5-6 Salmon!! One looked to be a good 7 lb.. Jeremy grabbed his rod and was down the bank like a shot, first cast he had one on and then came my turn. I took 2 or 3 casts and had one on. Do to Jeremy’s younger limbs he took my net, to wich I now can’t find the other magnet, and was on that fish like wrinkles on a cheap suit. His intention was to get a picture of the larger fish. I gently removed the hook and he jumped from my hands in 2 good shakes, leaving Jeremy looking like I just pulled a barbed hook from his ear. The two Salmon were beautiful, clean shiney fish and hit very fast in the cold water. The Sun was out, we had fish to talk about, life is good.
