It has been said that a fly fisherman evolves into and from three stages. The first evolution being to catch as many fish as possible . After getting his fill of scrappers the fisherman dreams of catching the largest fish that he can all the time. The next step is to concentrate his efforts on the problem or difficult fish. Have you decided which category you fall in? I find myself deeply mired in the big fish pit. I can’t get enough. I will drive thousands of miles after flying thousands of miles just to find that perfect place of isolation that gives up the big fish. Or how about fishing 22 hours straight trying to get my big fish fix. Or maybe getting up at 1 am to drive 3.5 hours to fish all day only to drive home that night. And no matter how big the fish I can’t be satisfied because I know there is always one bigger.
well….if your stuck on step 2…..you are surely doing a good job on it….not a bad place to be stuck.
